Astoria Energy currently owns and operates one power generation facility with a total capacity of over 500 Megawatts (MW). Astoria Energy sells energy and capacity from this facility to Con Edison and into the NYISO market. Astoria Energy is owned by Astoria Project Partners ("APP"). On July 11, 2008, Astoria Energy executed a Power Purchase Agreement with NYPA to begin the second power block of the facility which is owned by Astoria Energy II. Astoria Energy II expects the second power block to achieve a Spring 2011 in-service date.
